An uninterruptible Power supply

For Your Computer is Essential

Your computer needs an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) not just to assure non-stop operation. A power supply can also protect your computer. When the input power source fails, a UPS lets your computer continue to operate. However, a UPS can also protect your equipment from electrical surges or low voltage periods (called sags) both of which can seriously damage electronic equipment like computers, printers, monitors and scanners. A UPS (power supply) can help avoid this costly damage.

An uninterruptible power supply plays a crucial role in an internet business or other businesses that rely on computers to operate successfully on an ongoing basis. Any business that needs immediate access to quotes, inventories, customer records or other information cannot afford to be without computer access. We know all too well that electrical outages can happen at any time day or night. The cause may be weather related, due to an accident or in some cases electrical outages planned by the power company. No matter what the reason, having a power supply as a backup to keep computers up and running is essential.

At times  we may see a momentary or sustained reduction in input voltage (sometimes called a "brown out"); A UPS can save computer equipment from any sort of damage under these conditions. Similarly, an UPS also protects data and hardware when there is brief high voltage usually called a "surge". Computers used in areas that have frequent instability should always be used with a UPS for the reason that it provides a constant voltage even when there are temporary voltage changes in the main electrical source.

Power supplies can be looked at as an investment or as insurance. They are critical to the health of your system whether it be IBM, Apple, HP,  or any other brand name. Whether you have a home office or a big business you should not be without a UPS. Even personal computers need the protection which they provide. Although power supplies are designed to run for long periods of times (several years), it is advisable to check them every few months to assure that they are working properly. Most units have a test button which can be used to check whether or not the unit is working properly
